New Leadership Training Opportunity
Class: "Meeting the Leadership Challenge in Law Enforcement"
Exciting News! We are offering a special session for this class—a great opportunity for those who missed this course last spring.
MTU 13 is proud to collaborate with the Legal and Liability Risk Management Institute to present the FBINAA (Federal Bureau of Investigations National Academy Association) Gold Standard Leadership Certification Program.
You can attend this class as a standalone or take it as part of a comprehensive four-part course that leads to a Certificate in Leadership from the FBINAA.
Here's how it works:
- Meeting the Leadership Challenges of Law Enforcement
We held this class last year at MTU 13, and many of you have already completed it. If you missed it, don't worry—there's another session on November 6-8, 2024. - Mastering the Leadership Challenges of Law Enforcement
We plan to hold this class again in the spring of 25 to allow officers to catch up. - Attend an FBINAA Leadership Forum
This will be offered next year; details will be announced as they become available. - Complete a Self-Study Research Paper
This is assigned by the FBINAA Education and Training Division.
Why Take This Course?
Many officers seeking leadership roles choose programs like Northwestern Supervision of Police Personnel, but the costs can be prohibitive for some agencies. Others attend the FBI National Academy in Virginia, which, while valuable, requires a 10-week commitment. Our program provides a flexible, affordable alternative with a nationally recognized certification.
Our class structure allows you to earn your certificate in manageable steps. The first class is just three days long, and the leadership forum is typically a single day (subject to confirmation). Additionally, you can take these classes in any order, giving you flexibility in scheduling.
This training is a fantastic opportunity to strengthen your leadership skills, boost your career prospects, and contribute positively to your organization and community. Plus, if you're considering a career move, this certification could give you a competitive edge.
Please note that you can attend this class as a stand-alone without committing to the full certification program, or you can use it as a starting point to complete the entire course.
We are thrilled to offer you this leadership development opportunity and look forward to seeing you in class!
