Purpose of course: This 2-day class is for new and experienced detectives. It provides a comprehensive review of the skill set needed to be an effective criminal investigator. A successful criminal prosecution starts with a thorough investigation. Along with the practical approach, investigative techniques that build the foundation of most investigations will be reviewed. The objective is to prepare the participant to be able to apply these skills in the field immediately

Course overview: The focus of this course is to provide law enforcement personnel with specialized training that will assist in developing the knowledge and skill level needed to effectively and professionally conduct a criminal investigation. Each specific module has been designed for every participant to focus on self-evaluation and address their own strong and weak points, guided by their department guidelines, as they prepare to become professional and effective detectives.
