| Description | This very unique course if going to teach you how to administer field sobriety tests at times when you cannot ad-minister them to someone standing along the road. These tests were first developed by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA). This was designed to be able to administer SFST to occupants of boats on the water. Obviously, one can’t do the walk and turn in a recreation boat that is moving and taking them to the doc, is time consuming. Please don’t just think about boating though. My first DUI arrest was a man confined to a wheel chair. Also think amputees, or people who complain about chronic pain in their ankle, knee hip etc. Also, the elderly. Elderly peo-ple drink, become intoxicated and drive just like everyone else does. They have also compiled a list of injuries from living life. When it’s time to administer Field Sobriety Test, it’s nice to have some that you can use that don’t require balance. |
