| Description | Course Description: Combines the study of first aid, safety education, and stop the bleed initiative. Emphasis is placed on methods of prevention and emergency care of injuries caused by accident and sudden illness. Officers attending this 8-hour block of training will learn both the skill and the training techniques to go back to their respective departments and teach the skills to their fellow officers. Officers will also be able to teach for the MTU . Officers are focusing their instruction on keeping people alive for 15-20 minutes until a higher level of trained technician can arrive. ***This training will save somebody's life. It could be a suspect, civilian, fellow officer or it could be you. Nobody knows, but what we do know is when tragedy strikes, law enforcement officers are the first to arrive.
