Domestic Violence and Family Law Update

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE/FAMILY LAW ANALYSIS

 8 Hours

PURPOSE OF COURSE: This one day, 8-hour program has been designed to update officers concerning the changes in the statutory law in relation to the Illinois Domestic Violence Act and related Illinois Family Law issues.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: 8 hours of training focusing on the statutory and case law modifications of Illinois Domestic Violence and Illinois Family Law.

GOALS: The goals of this course are as follows.

  • Provide a complete analysis of the statutory and caselaw changes concerning Illinois Domestic Violence and Illinois Family Law.
  • Allow Illinois Law Enforcement Officers and Agencies to become familiar with changes that must be made in their Agency policies as a result of Domestic Violence/Family Law changes.
  • Provide an opportunity to discuss the best ways to react to these changes.
