Freedom of INformation Act with Don Hays

Purpose of Course: This one day, 8-hous program has been designed to up
date officers concerning the changes in the statutory law in relation to the Illi
nois Freedom of Information Act.  
 
Course Description:  Eight hours of training focusing on the application of the 
Freedom of Information Act in Illinois. 
 
Goals:  The goals of this course are as follows: 
• Provide a complete analysis of the application of the FOIA Law in Illinois 
• Allow Illinois Law Enforcement Agencies and FOIA Officers to Analyse Bind
ing PAC Options and recent Case Law involving FOIA. 
• Provide an opportunity to discuss the best ways to react to FOIA requests 
when they are received.
