Course Title: ICS 300 – Intermediate Incident Command System for Expanding Incidents
Course Description:
This ICS 300 course provides an in-depth, advanced-level training in the Incident Command System (ICS) for individuals who may assume supervisory roles in expanding or complex incidents. Building upon the foundational principles taught in ICS 100 and ICS 200, this course is designed to equip responders and incident management personnel with the knowledge and tools to manage incidents that extend beyond the initial response phase.
Participants will learn how to implement the ICS framework for a scalable, flexible, and coordinated approach to incident management. Topics include the staffing and organization of the ICS structure, the transfer of command, unified command operations, and incident/event planning processes.

Course Objectives:
Understand and apply the ICS organization appropriate to the complexity of the incident.
Identify roles and responsibilities of Command and General Staff.
Describe the process for transferring and assuming command.
Develop and implement an Incident Action Plan (IAP) for a simulated incident.
Understand Unified Command functions in a multi-jurisdictional or multi-agency incident.
