With the advent of depression, bullying and suicidal tendencies as a result, first responders in our schools and police departments must be trained to handle these situations with immediacy and great sensitivity. The goal MUST be to identify and intercept the criminal activity before the school shooter is able to take action. There are times when a student presents an incident of rage and a wanton disregard for human life by conspiring to make themselves famous through death and destruction. However, many students, school administrators and/ or LEO minimizes the comments and postings of the school shooter. We often train our youth "If you see something, say something." It is what Schools and Law Enforcement do with that information that may predict the outcome.
