Police Ethics

PURPOSE OF COURSE: This course aims to inspire officers to excel in their roles by identifying
common challenges and mistakes made by their predecessors. It emphasizes the importance of building a
strong personal foundation to ensure sound decision-making under pressure.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course combines lectures with supplementary videos to explore the
roots of American ethics. Participants will identify key character traits and learn how to apply them in
real-time situations. The course covers Constitutinal Use of Law Enforcement Authority, Office Wellness, Procedural Justice.
There are a ton of pitfalls that can and will end your career. I don’t care if you work patrol, detectives,
corrections or if you are the Chief Of Police. There are many ways to end your career, lose your marriage, get yourself saddled with Child Support, maintenance, loss of pension, all because of an indiscretion that everyone should see coming. Lets take a look at these and make sure that we are familiar with
then so that we can help ourselves and mentor the younger troops coming in to not make the mistakes that
others have made.

Chiefs– How expensive is hiring new people? How expensive is firing people actually? How many
times have we seen Chiefs or Sheriffs go down in flames with their officers? I encourage everybody to
