Standardized Field Sobriety Testing (SFST) Instructor Course
This intensive SFST Instructor Course is designed for law enforcement officers seeking to train others in the proper administration and interpretation of Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. Over the course of four days, participants will develop the knowledge and instructional skills necessary to teach SFST procedures effectively.
Topics include the scientific principles of SFSTs, proper test administration, recognizing impairment cues, legal considerations, and adult learning techniques. Hands-on training, classroom instruction, and practical teaching exercises will prepare attendees to lead SFST courses confidently.
Successful completion certifies officers as SFST instructors, equipping them to enhance DUI enforcement efforts and improve courtroom testimony. This course follows NHTSA standards.
***IMPORTANT INFORMATION***
Instructor candidates must have had the Standaardized Field Sobriety Testing 24-hour class and had an 8-hour refresher within the previous year.
